Ojibwemo
Ojibwemo: s/he speaks the Ojibwe language.
When I was pregnant with my youngest, I decided that when he was born that I wanted to speak only in the language. On maternity leave, I started really dedicating more time to my language learning journey. I kept looking around my house and wanted to normalize language use everywhere. I bought chalkboards and whiteboards, I also created phrase cards around each area of the house. I wanted more. I wanted physical items that we could use everyday to normalize our language. I started with mugs, and continue to grow everyday.
Gimiigwechiwenimininim: I am thankful to all of you for your support and I couldn’t have gotten this far without all of my wonderful, talented teachers and language-learning community.
